BASF has launched Easiplas® HDPE IL8008, a new injection-grade high-density polyethylene product. The first batch was dispatched from BASF’s Zhanjiang Verbund site on February 26, 2026. The first truck was delivered on February 27 to Great Polymer’s downstream customer, Foshan Huiyu, where Great Polymer, BASF and Huiyu held an inaugural delivery ceremony. Great Polymer General Manager Zheng Shudian, Yang Xu, Director of Polyethylene Business Management for BASF’s Petrochemicals business in Asia Pacific, Foshan Huiyu General Manager Fan Chaoqiang, and representatives of all three companies attended and witnessed the ceremony.
Zheng Shudian, Yang Xu and Fan Chaoqiang each delivered remarks and congratulated the partners on the market launch of Easiplas® HDPE IL8008. All three representatives expressed sincere appreciation for the partners' mutual choice, trust and shared achievements.
After the delivery ceremony, the customer immediately put the Easiplas® HDPE IL8008 batch into trial production in the presence of representatives from all three companies. The finished products met the customer’s performance requirements, demonstrating the customer’s strong acceptance of the product from its first production run.
BASF’s delivery of the first truckload of Easiplas® HDPE IL8008 to Great Polymer represented more than a product delivery; it marked a new stage in the two companies' strategic cooperation. Looking ahead, Great Polymer will continue working with upstream and downstream partners to pursue shared development and long-term mutual success.
